Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident may have been caused by the mold plate getting stuck at the beginning of the casting process. The shift leader used an aluminum rod to pry the mold plate loose, causing it to suddenly drop, leading to a large leakage of molten aluminum into the casting well, resulting in the explosion.

Asia Pacific Technology is a well-known manufacturer of high-performance aluminum extrusion materials, with its main products being high-performance precision aluminum tubes, special profiles, and high-precision bars produced through extrusion processes. The downstream application fields are mainly in the automotive industry.
